The Jaltest JDC108A connects the 4-pin diagnostic connector of Haldex control units EB+/TRS and TPMS to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the trailer side, there is a round black connector with four sockets in a square layout; the quickest way to distinguish sockets from pins is to compare it with the similarly 4-pin JDC102A. The OBD2 head is the standard 16-pin socket connector that fits the plug of your Jaltest cable. The cable is 28 to 30 cm in length.
With this connection, Jaltest equipment reads two systems from the same connector. For EB+/TRS, coverage extends beyond reading: alongside fault codes and live data, you can control components and configure parameters. With tyre pressure monitoring Haldex TPMS, reading is limited to fault codes. Since trailers have never been subject to a standardised diagnostic connector requirement, this connector remains in use as long as the system is on the road. The cable is compatible with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under the Jaltest CV module.

Applications and functionality
Using this connection, you can access with the Jaltest software two Haldex units on the trailer: The brake control and the tyre pressure monitoring. What you can do with each unit varies considerably, as coverage extends beyond reading data only for EB+/TRS. The units listed below are from Jaltest's Haldex coverage, with the functions available for each system.
Control units you can access
- EB+/TRS, trailer brake control: The electronic brake control system this cable was primarily designed for, with fault codes, measured values, actuation and parameters.
- Haldex TPMS, tyre pressure monitoring: The tyre pressure monitoring system on the same connection, with fault codes only.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the brake control and clear it after repair.
- View measured values: The current readings from connected sensors, with an alert when a value falls outside the specified range.
- Actuate components: Directly activate parts of the EB+/TRS control to verify their operation.
- Configure parameters: Read and adjust the configuration of the EB+/TRS control.
- Read tyre pressure monitoring: Request fault codes from the Haldex TPMS system.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type is what matters, not the model. This cable fits any trailer or semi-trailer where the Haldex EB+/TRS unit or the tyre pressure monitoring connects to a round 4-pin socket connection. For trailers has never had a standardised diagnostic connector prescribed, which means this configuration remains in use on newer trailers as well. The same round connector with pins is found on the JDC102A.
Haldex (clarification):
- EB+/TRS: Electronic braking control, offering the most comprehensive functionality of the two.
- TPMS: Tyre pressure monitoring on the same connector, limited to fault codes.
- Chassis manufacturer: Not decisive; the cable follows the Haldex unit mounted on the chassis.
