The Jaltest JDC218A connects the proprietary 3-pin diagnostic connector of older Isuzu commercial vehicles to the 16-pin OBD2 input of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the vehicle side there is a small white connector housing with three flat contacts in a single row and a locking tab on the underside. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm.
With the cable connected, the Jaltest software accesses the control units of the Isuzu ranges from before the standardised connector. Coverage is structured by engine code, with the Electronic Diesel Control at its core, for example 4HE1-TC for the N-series and 6SD1 for the F-series. On versions with hydraulic brake control, the ABS/ASR Hydraulic is added. The cable works with the Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under Jaltest CV.

Applications and functions
The cable is intended for workshops that read out older Isuzu trucks with the Jaltest Link. Isuzu divides the coverage by engine code: what you find on an N-series differs from what is on an F-series or a C/E-series. The units below are examples from the Jaltest Isuzu coverage.

- Reading out: Select Isuzu, the series and the engine code.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector is what matters, not the model. The cable fits any Isuzu commercial vehicle with the 3-pin diagnostic connector: a small white housing with three contacts side by side. Jaltest CV includes the series below in its coverage. The end year follows the Euro IV transition, after which the 16-pin OBD2 connector took over.
