The Jaltest JDC556A connects the proprietary 4-pin diagnostic plug of the Hyundai CE 8-series to the 16-pin OBD2 connector of your diagnostic equipment. On the machine side is a rectangular plug with a light grey pin carrier, a green locking tab and a straight cable entry. The cable then runs 30 cm to a black plastic housing with the OBD2 connector.
With the cable connected, the Jaltest software reaches the central machine computer MCM. On machines with a Cummins engine, the ECM Cummins is also accessible, in a SAE J1708 and a SAE J1939 version; which one is fitted determines via which data bus the equipment operates. The cable is designed for the Jaltest Link V8.1 and falls under Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway machines).

Via this connection, the Jaltest software accesses the control units of the excavators and loaders from the Hyundai CE 8-series. Which systems are present varies by model and version; the units below come from the Hyundai coverage of Jaltest OHW.

How to use it
- Finding the connection: The 4-pin plug is located in the cab.

- Ignition on: Switch the ignition on without starting the engine.
- Reading out: Select Hyundai, the machine and the system.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The plug determines compatibility, not the model. This cable is for Hyundai CE 8-series excavators and loaders with the 4-pin diagnostic connector in the cab. The year of manufacture says little here; the boundary is set by the model generation.
