The Jaltest JDC541A connects the proprietary diagnostic connector of Hidromek earthmoving equipment to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the machine side, there is a round black connector with a ribbed locking ring; the contact holder has sixteen positions, of which seven are populated with contact sockets according to the product photograph. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm.

Behind this single connector lie the control units of the Isuzu powertrain: the 4HK1/4JJ1 common rail engine control, available in both CAN and K-Line versions, and on machines equipped with SCR, the AdBlue/DEF aftertreatment system. With the CAN version of the engine control, additional functions are available; with the K-Line version, they are not. Particularly for AdBlue faults and power complaints, this is the interface you need. The cable is compatible with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway machines).

IMPORTANT NOTES

✕The Jaltest coverage for Hidromek is limited to engine and aftertreatment; a central machine computer or hydraulic control unit is not included.
✕Additional actions are only available with the CAN version of the engine management, not at the K-Line version.
✕The round connector resembles that of the Volvo cableJDC541A, but this connector housing contains contact sockets and in that of the JDC509A pins; the two therefore do not fit on the same machine.
✕For construction machinery, there is no OBD requirement: the year of manufacture does not indicate the connector type — only the socket on the machine itself determines compatibility.

The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable works with any Hidromek machine featuring the round diagnostic connector and locking ring. The following series are covered by Jaltest OHW; you can verify which connector your machine has on site.

Good to know: Hidromek uses its own proprietary round diagnostic connector with locking ring; this is not compatible with the flat 16-pin connector found on passenger vehicles. Construction equipment is not subject to OBD regulations, so the manufacturing year is not a reliable indicator here. Verify which connector is fitted to your machine before placing your order.
