The Jaltest JDC525A connects the 14-pin round diagnostic connector of tractors from Claas and Renault to the 16-pin OBD2-port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the machine side, there is a black plastic round connector with a knurled ring and male pins; in the fourteen-pin housing, not every position carries a pin, so you can identify the correct connector by the pin pattern. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm and is specified for Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9. The same tractor family is also available with a 4+4-pin diagnostic connector; this is the 14-pin version.
With this connection, the Jaltest software opens the diagnostic line to the tractor's control units. On the heaviest models, the ATLES 9X5-9X6, behind it are the engine controllers EMR and EMR2 - EDC, the central vehicle control unit RCC/RCC2, the transmission controller TC, the valve control ELECTROPILOT and the lifting devices TCE; on the ARES 7X5 it remains with the QUADRISHIFT/TWINSHIFT gearbox and the DBD2 instrument cluster. In agriculture, the standardised OBD connector was never made mandatory, which is why this round connector has remained in use alongside the 4+4-pin version. The cable falls under Jaltest AGV (agricultural vehicles).

Applications and functionality
Using this 14-pin connection, you access the tractor control units with Jaltest software. Which units are present varies by series and specification: on the ARES 7X5 Jaltest covers the transmission and instrument cluster, on the ATLES 9X5-9X6 additionally the engine management and hydraulics. The control units listed below are covered by Jaltest's Claas and Renault module.

- Engine management EMR2 - EDC: The later electronic diesel control of the ATLES series.
- Central vehicle control unit RCC/RCC2: The control unit to which the other ATLES systems connect.
- Transmission TC: The gearbox control of the ATLES series.
- Transmission QUADRISHIFT and TWINSHIFT: The gearbox controls of the ARES series.
- Transmission EHM 24, TRAX and TRAX (CAN): The gearbox controls of the NECTIS series.
- Hydraulics ELECTROPILOT: The control panel for external hydraulic valves.
- Hydraulics TCE 15/25/35, TCE15T and TCE 6: The electronic lifting systems.
- Instrument cluster DBD2: The dashboard, with access to service intervals.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the control unit fault memory, including descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: The current sensor values monitored by the control unit, with the ability to set alarm thresholds.
- Check service intervals: The scheduled maintenance operations and work to be performed, on this series via the OBD2 instrument panel.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model.This cable fits any tractor from Claas or Renault equipped with the 14-pin round diagnostic connector in the cab. Jaltest AGV covers the following series; because agriculture has never adopted a standardised connector specification, the 14-pin and 4+4-pin versions are mixed throughout the same model ranges.
