The Jaltest Bus is a complete diagnostic system for city buses, regional buses and coaches. The case contains the Jaltest Link V9 (70001015), the Multipin Kit (70002001), the OBD cable JDC213.9, the USB-C cable JDC107.9B and the JDC100 extension cable of 100 cm, all packed in the Compact Hardcase 70003015. The diagnostics run in the Jaltest software on your own Windows PC.
The Modular Bus module covers passenger transport as a whole: the drivetrain, the automatic gearboxes from ZF and Voith, the brakes, the air suspension, the door control and the climate control, across 73 bus brands. The software activation (293300) includes the software licence for the first year. We activate the module as soon as you have received the device, using the serial number of the supplied Link; you do not need to send us anything.

Applications and functionality
The Jaltest Link V9 creates the connection between the bus control units and the Jaltest software on your Windows PC. With the Bus module you read out data, monitor measured values and activate components. You can also carry out the work that requires the software: the diesel particulate filter, the injectors, the calibrations and the service resets.

How to use it
- Start the software: Open Jaltest on the Windows PC.
- Connect the Link: Connect the Link V9 via the JDC107.9B.
- Choose a cable: Use the JDC213.9, a bus cable or the multipins.
- Connect: Connect, using the JDC100 if necessary.
- Reading out: Select the bus or the component in Modular Bus.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The software module, not the case, determines coverage. Modular Bus covers city buses, regional buses and coaches. A brand in the list means coverage exists, not that every model and year of manufacture is fully supported. The grouping by world region refers to the brand's country of origin, not its current owner. Europe includes the United Kingdom, Turkey, Russia and Belarus; Chinese brands are listed separately from Asian brands, which include Japan, South Korea and India. Other lists brands from Australia and Africa.

Systems on the bus:
- Drivetrain: Engine, gearbox and exhaust aftertreatment, including SCR and AdBlue in the Antipollution group.
- Automatic gearboxes: The ZF Ecomat with the 9-pin Mate N-Lock connector, the ZF EcoLife in the mini-USB and MCP versions, and the Voith Diwa.
- Brakes and chassis: Service brake, auxiliary brakes, air preparation, suspension, steering and chassis module, including the Knorr-Bremse ABS6 and ABS24/EU12.
- Air suspension (ECAS): The electronically controlled air suspension that also provides the kneeling height at the bus stop, with the Wabco ECAS CAN 2.
- Door control: The Wabco MTS door control, the modular control unit that operates the doors.
- Climate control: The Wabco ATC and ATC Coach for the climate zones in the bus.
- Electronics and comfort: Central computer, electronic modules, instrument panel, lighting, heater, display, audio and start interrupt.
- Safety: The Safety group, including emergency brake assist and lane departure warning.
- Data registration and telematics: The Data registration, telematics and FMS group, which also includes the tachograph.
Cables and computer
The case contains the 16-pin OBD cable JDC213.9. Many bus systems also have their own diagnostic connector on the control unit, which requires a separate cable.
- Truck and bus cable set (29362): Cables for Volvo, Mercedes-Benz and MTU, Wabco brake systems, Renault, Iveco, the MAN TG series, DAF and MAN with 37-pin connector.
- Automatic gearboxes: JDC307A for the ZF Ecomat with the 9-pin Mate N-Lock, JDC308A for the ZF EcoLife with mini-USB and JDC309A for the EcoLife in the MCP version with the yellow 9-pin connector.
- Climate and doors: JDC304A for the Wabco ATC climate control and the Wabco MTS door control on the 4+4-pin connector.
- Brakes and air suspension: JDC305A for the Knorr-Bremse ABS6 and ABS24/EU12, and JDC310A for the ECAS air suspension control on Solbus buses.
- Older buses: JDC311A for the 9-pin Sub-D on Solaris buses, JDC301A for the Volvo bus ECS and JDC302A for the Volvo bus ABS.
- Computer: The software runs on Windows. Cojali supplies the Jaltest Rugged PC and the A140 Rugged PAD; both are sold separately in our webshop.
Licence and renewal
With Modular, you buy the software activation and the software licence for the first year in one go. From the second year, you renew with the update licence (29051300). As long as the licence is valid, you receive all new software versions for the bus systems.
- Software activation (293300): The one-time purchase that unlocks Modular Bus. The software licence for the first year is included, so a separate software licence is not required.
- Term: Twelve months from activation.
- Activation: Carried out by us, once you have received the unit, using the serial number of the supplied Jaltest Link. You do not need to provide anything yourself.
- Update licence (29051300): Annual renewal, each time for another twelve months. If you order it separately, please provide the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the comments field; we activate within one working day.
- Installations: Up to five PCs. The Jaltest hardware is always required to run the software.
- Registration: During activation, after each new software version and every six months thereafter. If registration is not completed, the software will be blocked.
- Adding a module later: A module purchased later is aligned with your current licence; you pay pro rata.
- Not renewing: The module is blocked until you purchase the update licence.
- Renewing after the expiry date: If you renew within fifteen days after the expiry date, the new period runs from that expiry date; after that, it starts on the day of renewal.
