The Jaltest 74502012 is the software license for Jaltest Marine Vessel, the diagnostic module for ships and marine engines. The license runs for twelve months and gives you the right to work with the Vessel module during that period. You'll need the software activation (74502002) to go with it: You purchase this once and it remains valid indefinitely. We link the license to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
For twelve monthsyou work with the complete Vessel module and receive all new software versions that Jaltest releases during that period, including the vessels, systems and features added that year. This is the difference from the activation, which by itself unlocks nothing. If you purchase an additional module while this license is active, the new license will be aligned with your existing one: You pay only the remaining days until the expiration date, calculated on a pro-rata basis, so all your modules expire on the same date. After these twelve months, you continue with the update license (74602002).

Applications and Features
This license gives you twelve months of access to Jaltest Marine Vessel, the module for vessels. What you can do with it depends on the vessel and the cable you use.
What the Vessel module covers
- Inboard engines: Engine diagnostics for inboard drives.
- Outboard engines: Engine diagnostics for outboard drives.
- Gasoline engines: Gasoline-powered marine engines within the Vessel segment.
- Marine electronics: Onboard marine modules and drives.
- Brands: Including Volvo Penta, Yamaha, Mercury, Honda, Evinrude and Suzuki, via the cables in the Vessel cable set.
- Personal watercraft: Not covered by this module; for those, activation 74502005 and the corresponding license 74502017 apply.
What you can do
- System scan: View all control units present and identify any fault codes.
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory per control unit, with a description of the fault.
- Live data and sensor readings: Request sensor values and monitor them in real time while the engine is running or the vessel is underway.
- Component actuation: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring to it.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers for each system.
- Service resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
What you'll need
Jaltest requires three components to enable diagnostics. This annual license is one of them; the complete setup is listed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on a PC.
- Software activation (74502002): One-time purchase, remains valid indefinitely. The license will not work without this activation.
- Software license first year (74502012): This product. Twelve months.
- Update license (74602002): From the second year onwards, for continued access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic cables: The Vessel cable set (70002008). Cables are not included.
Vessel is one of the marine variants. If you also service personal watercraft, you'll need the separate activation Marine Waterscooters (74502005) with license 74502017; if you want all marine segments under a single activation, Marine Complete (74502001) is the broader option. You can optionally expand with Jaltest INFO Plus for wiring diagrams, component locations, and guided repair procedures. These modules are purchased separately.
