The Jaltest 74502011 is the software activation for Marine Petrol, the Jaltest diagnostic for petrol engines within the Marine package, from inboard and outboard to jet ski and stationary. This is the entry-level product of the module: you purchase it once, we bind it to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and then it appears in the Jaltest Diagnostics start menu.
The software runs on a Windows PC and reads the control units via the Jaltest Link; without that interface it will not start. The purchase itself does not expire – the module remains yours – but for new software versions from the second year onwards you will need the update licence (74602011).

Applications and functionality
Marine Petrol is the Jaltest diagnostic for petrol engines within the Marine package, from inboard and outboard to jet ski and stationary. This activation unlocks that module. What you do with it subsequently depends on the engine and the connection you use.

Marine Petrol operates on petrol engines within the Marine package, from inboard and outboard to jet ski and stationary. The brands listed below are covered by Jaltest Marine; which systems are available per engine varies by model and year of manufacture.
Outboard motors
The petrol engines within the fifteen makes that Jaltest covers here.
- European: Selva.
- Asian: Honda, Nissan, Suzuki, Tohatsu, Yamaha.
- North American: Evinrude, Johnson, Mariner, Mercury, Mercury Racing, Seven Marine, Vanguard Power.
- Chinese: Hidea, Parsun.
Jet skis and water scooters
The five makes that Jaltest covers here; these engines almost all run on petrol.
- European: HSR-Benelli.
- Asian: Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha.
- North American: Sea-Doo (BRP).
Inboard and stationary
The petrol versions within those categories, such as the Volvo Penta Gasoline and Mercury Mercruiser engines. The diesel versions fall outside this.

Marine works by category. If you also service other engines, you add the corresponding licence.

Marine Petrol is available in three versions with identical coverage. The difference lies in what you're purchasing – a one-off purchase or a renewal – not in what you can do with it.

What you need
To diagnose with Marine Petrol you will need more than this product. The full setup is shown below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
- The module itself (74502011): This product. You purchase the module once; the module remains yours.
- Adaptor cables (optional): Marine cable set vessels (70002008) and Marine cable set jet skis (29985). If you don't have them, you connect using the multipin set from your Jaltest case.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working module there are four steps. The serial number of your Jaltest Link is all you need to find yourself.
- Provide the serial number: Include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the notes field when you place your order; this is required.
- We activate: We bind the module to that serial number, typically within one working day of your order.
- Confirmation by email: You will hear from us as soon as the module is on your serial number.
- Update software: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and fetch the module; then Marine Petrol will appear in the start menu.
