The Jaltest 293500 is the software licence for Jaltest Modular Trailer, the modular diagnostics for trailers and semi-trailers. You purchase the module once and can use it for twelve months straight away. With Modular, you purchase diagnostics per vehicle type rather than per complete segment.

This licence on its own does not allow you to diagnose. You also need the Jaltest Link and the trailer cable set (70002024) with the cables JDC103A, JDC108A and JDC110A. This gives you access to the braking systems from Wabco, Knorr-Bremse and Haldex. From the second year, you extend with the update licence (29051500).

POINTS TO NOTE

✕From the second year, you need the update licence (29051500); if you do not renew, the module will be blocked.
✕The trailer cable set (70002024) is not included and is sold separately.
✕The software requires registration every six months, even if the licence is still valid. If this does not take place, the software will be blocked.
✕The Jaltest Link is required. Without that interface, the software will not start on the PC.

Applications and functions

Jaltest Modular Trailer is the trailer module within the modular model. This licence unlocks that module. What you can do with it depends on the system and the cable you use.

What the licence includes

What you can do

  • System scan: All control units in view.
  • Fault codes: Read and clear, with descriptions.
  • Live data: Real-time sensor values.
  • Control: Activate actuators in a targeted way.
  • Calibrations: Parameters and procedures.
  • Maintenance: Reset service intervals.

How to use it

  1. Ordering: Order the licence in the webshop.
  2. Serial number: Enter the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the comments field.
  3. Activation: We activate the module on that serial number, usually within one working day, and confirm this by email.
  4. Software update: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and retrieve the module.
  5. Getting started: Modular Trailer then appears in the start menu.

Compatible vehicles and applications

What matters is the system on the trailer and the cable you use to reach it. The module focuses on the electronics on the trailer: brakes, stability, the other control units and telematics.

Braking and stability systems:

  • Wabco and Knorr-Bremse: EBS and ABS, via cable JDC103A.
  • Haldex: EB+, TRS and TPMS, via cable JDC108A.

Other systems:

  • Trailer electronics: Via Trailer CAN ISO 7638-1 24V with cable JDC110A.
  • Telematics: The systems that Jaltest covers within Modular Trailer.

Other vehicle types, with their own licence:

  • Truck: Modular Truck (293100).
  • Bus and coach: Modular Bus (293300).
  • Light commercial vehicle: Modular LCV (293600).
  • Entire commercial vehicle segment: Jaltest CV (29303).

Licence and renewal

  • Software licence (293500): This product. The module with the first year of use included.
  • Update licence (29051500): Twelve months' renewal, from the second year.
  • If not renewed: The module will be blocked.
  • Installations: Up to five PCs per licence.
  • Trailer cable set (70002024): With the cables JDC103A, JDC108A and JDC110A. Sold separately.

Good to know: If your licence expires, the module will be blocked until you purchase the update licence (29051500). If you renew within fifteen days after the expiry date, the new period runs from that expiry date; after that, it starts on the day of renewal. When ordering, enter the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the comments field; this is mandatory. We link the licence to that serial number, usually within one working day of your order.
