The Jaltest JDC536A is the diagnostic cable for the rectangular 12-pin connector from Komatsu-earthmoving equipment; the cable converts that proprietary connector to 16-pin OBD2-input of the Jaltest equipment. The connector is located in the cab. The same plug is found on track excavators, wheeled excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers and dump trucks covered by Jaltest in the Komatsu range.
Through this connection, the diagnostic equipment accesses the machine network and thereby the engine control system ENG, the hydraulic control PUMP, the instrument panel MON and, on the wheel loaders, the transmission control unit TRANS. With these control units, fault codes, measured values and maintenance data are covered: ECU data and additional actions are not included. Construction equipment is not subject to OBD requirements, which is why Komatsu has retained this connector across multiple machine generations. The cable falls under Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway Machines).

- ENG, Engine Control Module: The machine's engine control, including fault codes, measured values, and maintenance data.
- PUMP, Hydraulic System: The hydraulic pump system control.
- MON, Instrument cluster: The instrument panel in the cab.
- TRANS, Transmission: The transmission control unit, found on WA wheel loaders.

The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable fits any Komatsu earthmoving machine with the 12-pin diagnostic connector. Jaltest OHW covers the series listed below; check which connector is installed in your cab on-site.
