The Jaltest JDC601A is an Adapter Cable designed to establish a connection between the specific 3-pin diagnostic connector of Yamaha jet skis and outboard motors and the standardized 16-pin OBD2 connection of a diagnostic device. This cable enables diagnostic systems to link to the vessel's engine management system for reading fault codes and viewing system parameters.
With this cable, not only can fault codes be read and cleared, but access to further diagnostic functions is also supported. This includes viewing live data from sensors, performing actuator tests, and consulting system information. The cable is developed for use with the Jaltest Marine diagnosis interface, but can also function with other diagnostic equipment that supports the Yamaha protocol via a 16-pin OBD2 connector.
