The Jaltest MDC02 is the diagnostic cable you use to connect Knorr-Bremse EBS modules in MAN vehicles to the Jaltest ETM. Cojali lists it in the Jaltest 2026 Price List under the description Diagnostic cable for Knorr-Bremse EBS modules in MAN. It's included in the ETM Kit (70001008) and is also available for individual purchase, for example as a replacement.
The ETM is not an additional diagnostic cable for the vehicle's OBD port. It's a test module that establishes communication with the modulator itself, as if it were the control unit. This allows you to determine whether the component is actually faulty or if the fault lies in the wiring or control unit instead. In addition to this cable, you'll need the Jaltest ETM, complete with an ETM license and a current Jaltest software license.

What the Jaltest ETM covers
Cojali lists the following components for the ETM:
- Wabco EBS modulators: First, second and third generation.
- Knorr-Bremse EBS modulators: Second and third generation.
- Knorr-Bremse trailer control modulators: Trailer brake control modules.
- Inductive wheel speed sensors: The speed sensors found in ABS and EBS systems.
- Brake pad wear sensors: The sensors that monitor brake pad thickness.
What you can do with it
- Isolate and test the component: The ETM takes over the control unit role and communicates directly with the component.
- Determine if the component is actually faulty: If the component works, the fault lies elsewhere in the system.
- Perform a complete EBS modulator test: Cojali calls this advanced modulator diagnostics.
- Run an End of Line test (EOL): The verification that confirms the component is working properly.
What you'll need
- Jaltest ETM: The test module itself. For the Jaltest Link V9, that's the ETM interface with reference 70001007; the complete ETM kit is 70001008.
- ETM license: Without this license, the ETM won't start. The annual renewal has reference 29701.
- An active Jaltest software license: A CV license or a Modular license. Other modules cannot be combined with the ETM.
- Power supply: The ETM is powered from the vehicle's batteries.
