Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Diagnostic Tool

What's in the box

The case contains the hardware with which you make the connection, and the software rights that unlock the MHE module. The hardware is identical to the loose set 70301001, which as the only Jaltest case also includes the USB power cable JDC60AM2. Below you'll find what each item is and which reference number applies to it.

Hardware

• Jaltest Link V9 (70001015): The diagnostic interface you connect to the machine's diagnostic port, with 26-pin DB26 to the cable and USB-C to the PC.
• Multipin Kit (70002001): Twenty multipins JTP01 to JTP10, each in two colours, the connection cable JTP101 and two power cables — JDC10AM2 with battery clamps and JDC20AM2 for the cigarette lighter socket.
• OBD cable, 16-pin (JDC213.9): The standard cable for the ordinary diagnostic connection.
• USB-C cable (JDC107.9B): The connection between the Link and your laptop.
• Extension cable, 100 cm (JDC100): With a 26-pin DB26 connector, the wide connector on the Link itself.
• USB power cable (JDC60AM2): Powers the Jaltest Link V9 through a USB-A port, for machines whose diagnostic port does not provide power. This cable is included only in the MHE case.
• Case (70003015): The compact version, 505 x 381 x 146 mm.

Software

• Software (75001001): The one-time purchase that unlocks the MHE module.
• Licence activation, twelve months (75001009): The right to use it for the first year.
• INFO Online MHE (29477): The technical information accompanying the software. It is included, cannot be purchased separately and is free of charge until 2026.
• Jaltest GRP: Cojali's workshop software for customers, machines and reports.

A laptop and manufacturer-specific cables are not included. See Cables and computer further down on this page.

Which machines and systems does it cover

Jaltest MHE covers all material handling equipment — forklifts, reach trucks, telescopic handlers, scissor lifts and port equipment — with a single coverage list for all machine types combined, not a separate list for each type. A manufacturer in the list means there is coverage, not that every model and production year is fully supported. The division by continent refers to the country where the manufacturer originates, not the current owner.

European includes the United Kingdom, Turkey and Russia. Chinese is separate from Asian, which includes Japan, South Korea, India and Taiwan. Under Other are manufacturers from Australia and Africa and the occasional name whose origin could not be determined.

The systems in the machine

• Engine control: The engine control units of diesel, LPG and gas engines.
• Central computer: The central vehicle computer that controls the machine.
• Power modules: The traction and pump control of electric machines, including those from Zapi and Curtis.
• Steering system: The electric power steering.
• Transmission: The transmission control.
• Aftertreatment: The particulate filter and AdBlue module on diesel machines.
• Instrument panel: The display and speedometer unit.
• Hydraulics: The machine's hydraulic systems.

What you can do with it

With the MHE module, you read the machine's control units, monitor live readings and operate components. You also get a technical reference with fault finders, wiring diagrams and maintenance data for the system you're working on.

Diagnostics and service

• Read fault codes: Systems are automatically recognised, with a fault finder for each diagnostic code.
• Live readings: Values from connected sensors, displayed in real time.
• Component operation: Bidirectional tests that let you activate a component from your laptop.
• Parameters and calibrations: Including particulate filter regeneration, aftertreatment resets, injector calibrations and hydraulic calibrations.
• ECU data: Serial number, software version and other control unit information.
• Maintenance: The machine's maintenance data and functions.

Technical information included

• Fault finder: By diagnostic code or by symptom.
• Technical specifications: For the system and the machine.
• Wiring diagrams: Electrical schematics for the system.
• Maintenance data: For the machine.
• Procedures: Release procedures and work methods.
• Manual diagnostics: Fault-finding without system reporting.

The difference with expert mode

Standard diagnostics involves reading, monitoring and operating components. In expert mode, you also modify parameters in the control units: calibrating sensors and actuators, adjusting operating parameters and regenerating the particulate filter. This mode is included.

Cables and computer

The case includes a 16-pin OBD cable for the standard connection. Many forklifts and warehouse trucks have a manufacturer-specific connector, requiring a separate cable; internal handling equipment has never required a standardised OBD connection, so these connectors remain in use on new machines. The software itself runs on a Windows PC.

• Forklift cable set (70002022): Cables for JLG and Haulotte, Linde round, Jungheinrich and Still.
• Boom lift and telehandler cable set (70002028): Cables for Deutz engines, Kubota, JLG and Haulotte, Genie, and the green 9-pin Deutsch connector.
• Individual cables: Also available separately, including for Toyota, Crown, Hyster and Yale, Linde, Doosan, Mitsubishi with Caterpillar, and Zapi and Curtis controllers.
• Computer: The software runs on Windows. Cojali supplies the Jaltest Rugged PC and the A140 Rugged PAD; both are available separately in our webshop.

The correct cable for your machine depends on the diagnostic connector on that machine, not the manufacturer badge on the mast. Check the connector on the machine itself before ordering: if it's a 16-pin OBD2 connection, the supplied JDC213.9 is sufficient; if it's a manufacturer-specific connector, you'll need a proprietary cable: this is included in one of the two cable sets or can be ordered separately.

Licence and renewal

The software licence runs for twelve months from activation and is thereafter renewed annually with the update licence (75101001). While the licence is active, you receive all new software versions and maintain access to technical information.

• Renewal: Annually, using the update licence (75101001), for a further twelve months each time.
• Licence period: Twelve months from activation.
• Installations: Maximum five PCs. Jaltest hardware is always required to run the software.
• Registration: At activation, after each new software version, and subsequently every six months.
• Add a module later: A module purchased later is aligned with your current licence; you pay on a pro-rata basis.
• Do not renew: Diagnostics will continue to work on the last installed version, but access to technical information expires. Cojali provides support for an expired licence for one more year.

Optional add-ons

Alongside the MHE module, there are add-ons you order separately. They are not needed for basic diagnostics, but expand the technical reference, support or tools. Below is what is available for internal handling equipment.

• Jaltest INFO Web MHE: The same technical reference via a web platform, monthly or yearly subscription.
• Jaltest ATS: One year's access to Cojali's English-language technical helpdesk. Renews automatically; cancellation is by written notice up to thirty days before expiry.
• Jaltest Central Services: Actions performed by Cojali specialists on your behalf, per transaction.
• Jaltest tools: Including the AdBlue cleaning kit for agriculture, off-highway and internal handling, for cleaning the metering module.
• Extra modules: If you want to add commercial vehicles, agriculture or earthmoving equipment later, this is possible on the same Jaltest Link.
