The Jaltest Marine Full is a comprehensive diagnostic system for any marine engine with an electronic control unit: a case containing the Jaltest Link V9, the interface box you connect to the engine's diagnostic connector, and the software that runs on your own laptop.
With it you can access the control units of inboard engines, outboard engines, personal watercraft and the stationary engines in generators and auxiliary systems aboard. That's four separate manufacturer lists: 38 inboard makes, 15 outboard, 27 stationary engines and 5 personal watercraft. A new software version is released three times per year.
This set includes everything you need to perform diagnostics: the Link, the software activation and the software licence for the first year. We activate the module as soon as you receive the device, registered to the serial number of the supplied Link; you don't need to provide anything yourself. You'll need to source your own laptop and marine cables.
Module
Jaltest Marine Full (all marine engines)
Application
Inboard engines, outboard engines, stationary engines and jet skis
Software licence
Twelve months from activation (74502013)
Activation
By us, as soon as you receive the device, based on the serial number of the supplied Jaltest Link
Software updates
Three times per year
KEY BENEFITS
✔You start complete: The Jaltest Link V9, the software activation and the software licence for the first year are all included.
✔We handle the activation: as soon as you receive the device, we enable the Full module on the serial number of the supplied Jaltest Link, with no action required on your part.
✔This set provides the complete Marine module in a single licence: inboard, outboard, stationary engines and personal watercraft, whereas the other three sets each cover just one of those four areas.
✔The Marine case (70001053) is the only Jaltest hardware case that includes the extended cable JDC100B at 250 cm instead of the JDC100 at 100 cm — valuable reach in an engine compartment on board.
POINTS TO NOTE
✕The case contains only the 16-pin OBD cable; make-specific connectors on the engine require the cable sets 70002009, 70002025, 29985 and 70002006 or individual cables, and a laptop is not included.
✕The module covers marine applications only. If you also work on trucks, agricultural vehicles, earthmoving equipment or materials handling, you'll additionally need Jaltest CV, AGV, OHW or MHE respectively.
✕The software requires registration every six months; if you don't complete it, the software will lock.
✕INFO Plus and the Jaltest ETM do not work with a Marine licence: both require either a CV licence or a modular licence.
What's in the box
The case contains the hardware needed to establish the connection, plus the software rights that unlock the Full module. The hardware is identical to the standalone set 70001053; the distinction between the four Marine diagnostic systems lies in the software module, not the case. Below you'll find details of each component, what it does and its part number.
Hardware
Jaltest Link V9 (70001015): The diagnostic interface you connect to the engine's diagnostic connector, with a 26-pin DB26 connector for the cable and USB-C to your PC.
Multipin Kit Jaltest Marine (70002007): Twenty multipins JTP01 through JTP10, each in two colours, the connection cable JTP101 and the power cable JDC10AM2 with battery clamps. Lets you connect directly to a connector without its own dedicated diagnostic cable.
OBD cable, 16-pin (JDC213.9): The standard cable for the regular diagnostic connection.
USB-C cable (JDC107.9B): The connection between the Link and your laptop.
Extension cable, 250 cm (JDC100B): With a 26-pin DB26 connector, the wide connector on the Link itself. Two and a half times longer than the JDC100 found in other Jaltest cases, because on a boat the engine is rarely within easy reach of where you'll have the laptop stationed.
Case (70003015): The compact version, 505 x 381 x 146 mm.
Software
Software (74502001): The one-time purchase that unlocks the Full module.
Licence activation, twelve months (74502013): The right to use it for the first year.
INFO Online Marine (29479): Technical reference material for the software. Included with the system, not available separately, and free of charge from 2026 onwards.
Jaltest GRP: Cojali's workshop software for managing customers, vessels and reports.
A laptop and marine cables are not included in this set. See Cables and computer further down this page.
Which engines and systems
Jaltest Marine Full covers four areas — inboard engines with sterndrives and generators, outboard engines, stationary engines aboard and personal watercraft. A make in the list means there is coverage, but not that every model and build year is fully supported. The regional breakdown reflects the country where each make originates, not the current owner.

The four Marine packages side by side
The four Marine diagnostic readers share the same case 70001053 and the same Jaltest Link V9; the difference lies entirely in the software module. Full is the only one of the four that covers all areas simultaneously: it includes coverage of inboard, outboard and jet ski engines together, and uniquely adds stationary engines from generator sets and auxiliary units. If you work on more than one of these areas, you won't need a second licence with this package.
Marine Full
Inboard engines, outboard engines, stationary engines and jet skis, covering 38, 15, 27 and 5 brands respectively. This is the complete set featured on this page.
Marine Inboard
Inboard engines only, stern drives and generators, with 38 brands
Marine Outboard
Outboard engines only, covering 15 brands.
Marine Jetski
Jet skis only, covering 5 manufacturers
What you can do with it
With the Full module, you read control units, monitor live data streams and actuate components. It also includes reference documentation with wiring diagrams, troubleshooting guides and service schedules for the system you're working on.
Diagnostics and service
Read and clear fault codes: the fault memory of the control unit, including active, inactive and permanent codes with a description for each.
Live data: engine speed, turbo pressure, oil pressure, fuel pressure, coolant temperature, trim angle and the status of braking and reverse systems, displayed as figures or graphs.
Component actuation: directly control injectors, fuel pump, valves, trim and tilt motor, and iBR and RiDE system drive.
ECU data: Part number, serial number, software version and total engine operating hours.
Maintenance and service: regenerate soot filter, code injectors, disable cylinders, bleed fuel system, manage D.E.S.S. keys and reset service counters.
Calibrations and learning procedures: adjust and teach the gearbox, joystick control, throttle position sensor, trim and tilt sensor, steering angle sensor, and iBR and RiDE system.
Technical information included
Wiring diagrams: electrical schematics of the engine system, with clickable fuses, ground connections, sensors, control units and wiring.
Technical specifications: torque values, adjustment data, fluid specifications and details of sensors, actuators and control units.
Repair guides by fault code: step-by-step guidance for each fault code found, including wiring inspection, component testing and recommended solution.
Symptom-based troubleshooting: search without fault codes, based on complaints such as hard starting, loss of power or overheating.
Technical bulletins: notices from Cojali on common faults and recurring issues by manufacturer.
Service schedules: maintenance intervals based on operating hours, with service procedures and replacement of filters, impellers, V-belts, thermostats and anodes.
The difference with expert mode
Standard diagnosis means reading, monitoring and actuating. In expert mode, you also modify parameters in the control units: calibrating sensors and actuators, adjusting operating parameters and performing learning procedures. This mode is included.
Cables and computer
The case includes a 16-pin OBD cable for the standard connector. At sea, a standardised OBD connection has never been mandatory, so virtually every engine manufacturer uses its own diagnostic socket, even on new engines. The software itself runs on a Windows PC.
Four cable sets: the inboard set 70002009, the outboard set 70002025, the jet ski set 29985 and the stationary engine set 70002006 with JDC217.9, JDC505A, JDC528A and JDC538A.
Broadest individual set: the marine cable set 70002008 with thirteen cables — JDC527A, JDC601A, JDC603A, JDC604.9, JDC608A, JDC609.9, JDC611A, JDC612A, JDC613A, JDC614A, JDC616A, JDC617A and JDC618A9. This single set covers both inboard and outboard in one go; the jet ski set 29985 is the supplement, as the Yamaha cable JDC601A is precisely not included in it.
Inboard: JDC527A, JDC611A and JDC618A9 for the three Volvo Penta connectors, and JDC604.9 for the 10-pin MEFI connector of MerCruiser.
Outboard: JDC603A, JDC614A and JDC617A for Mercury, JDC608A for Honda, JDC609.9 for Evinrude, JDC613A and JDC616A for Suzuki, and JDC628A for the NMEA 2000 network.
Jet skis: JDC602A for Sea-Doo and JDC610A for Kawasaki, with JDC660M, JDC661M and JDC662M for key programming.
Computer: The software runs on Windows. Cojali supplies the Jaltest Rugged PC and the A140 Rugged PAD; both are listed separately in our online shop.
Which cable you need is determined by the diagnostic connector on the engine, not by the name on the engine cover. Check the socket on the engine itself before ordering: if it's the 16-pin OBD2 connector, the supplied JDC213.9 will suffice; if it's a manufacturer-specific connector, the corresponding cable is listed above.
Licence and renewal
The software licence runs for twelve months from activation and is then renewed annually with the update licence (74602001). As long as the licence is active, you receive all new software versions and maintain access to technical information.
Duration: Twelve months from activation.
Renewal: annually with the update licence (74602001), each time for a further twelve months.
Installations: Maximum of five PCs. Jaltest hardware is always required to run the software.
Registration: At activation, after each new software version, and thereafter every six months.
Add modules later: A module purchased later is aligned with your current licence; you pay pro rata.
Do not renew: Diagnostics continue to work on the last installed version, but access to technical documentation expires. Cojali continues to support an expired licence for a further year.
💡
Good to know: if you renew within fifteen days after the expiry date, the new period runs from that expiry date; after that it begins on the renewal date. You renew with the update licence (74602001); we activate it within one working day on the serial number of your Jaltest Link.
Update licence (renewal after the free period)
The renewal price may vary slightly. Already own the device? We will ask for the serial number after your order.
Optional add-ons
In addition to the Full module, there are extensions you can order separately. They are not needed to diagnose, but expand the reference documentation, support or range. Here's what comes with Marine.
Jaltest INFO Web Marine: the same reference documentation via a web platform, available monthly or annually.
Jaltest ATS (70809004): one year's access to Cojali's English-language technical helpdesk. Runs automatically; cancellation in writing up to thirty days before expiry.
Jaltest Central Services: Work carried out by Cojali specialists on your behalf, charged per task.
Other Jaltest modules: away from the water, coverage runs via dedicated modules — Jaltest CV for commercial vehicles, AGV for agriculture, OHW for earthmoving and MHE for internal transport.
