Diagnosis functions

The OBDSTAR KeyMaster G3 supports diagnosis functions for fault code reading and system checks in addition to programming.

• OBD-II diagnosis: Reading and clearing fault codes via the standard OBD-II diagnostic port according to common protocols.
• Remote Test: Built-in function for testing and simulating remote controls and key signals.
• Dash Board diagnosis: Reading and analyzing dashboards via the Test Platform for fault and communication checks.
• E-CAR ABS diagnosis: Diagnosis of the anti-lock braking system on electric vehicles via the Test Platform.
• E-CAR BSG diagnosis: Reading the belt-driven starter generator on electric vehicles.
• E-CAR MHEV diagnosis: Diagnosis of mild-hybrid systems on electric vehicles.
• E-CAR AUDIO diagnosis: Reading and testing audio systems on electric vehicles.
• E-CAR EBA diagnosis: Diagnosis of the electronic brake assist system on electric vehicles.

Key and EEPROM functions

The KeyMaster G3 is primarily designed for key and immobilizer work and offers a wide range of programming and memory editing functions.

• CAR IMMO: Immobilizer programming for passenger cars, including adding and deleting keys.
• HD IMMO: Immobilizer programming for commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.
• E-CAR IMMO: Immobilizer functions for electric vehicles such as LI, NETA, Leapmotor, Seres, and AITO.

License Information

The OBDSTAR KeyMaster G3 comes with a 1-year license. In addition to the standard IMMO and key functions, various specialized OBDSTAR modules are available as paid activation services, including ODO METER, ECU Flasher, Crash Reset, and Test Platform.

• License period: Valid for 1 year from activation, with renewal options via OBDSTAR or the distributor.
• Software updates: Access to software updates with new vehicle brands, expansion of key and immobilizer functions, additional ECU programming protocols, and bug fixes during the license period.
• Extended functions: ODO METER, ECU Flasher, Crash Reset, and Test Platform require a separate paid activation in addition to the basic license. Extended key and programming options such as MQB AKL, Renault pincode reading, and brand-specific AKL solutions require an active license.
• After license expiration: The device will continue to function with the last installed software version. New updates and access to added vehicle brands or features will no longer be available until the license is renewed.
