Topdon ArtiLink AL300 | Error Code Reader | Car
The Topdon ArtiLink AL300 is a fault code reader designed for OBD2 diagnostics on most vehicles produced since 1996. This device is powered directly through the vehicle's diagnostic port and requires no external batteries. Operation is via physical buttons, and results are displayed on a 1.77 inch LCD color screen.
The AL300 supports all ten modes of OBD2 tests and communicates via protocols such as KWP2000, ISO9141, J1850 VPW, J1850 PWM, and CAN. In addition to reading and clearing fault codes, the reader can also display live data and Freeze Frame data. Features such as an O2 sensor test and retrieving vehicle information (VIN, CIN, and CVN) are integrated. A built-in DTC lookup library directly shows fault code definitions on the screen.
Application and functionality:
The ArtiLink AL300 is a plug-and-play fault code reader for performing basic diagnostic tasks on the engine management system.
- Reading and clearing fault codes: Reads and clears generic (P0, P2, P3, U0) and manufacturer-specific (P1, P3, U1) diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and turns off the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL).
- Live data: Displays a real-time data stream from the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to monitor the status of various sensors.
- I/M Readiness status: Checks whether the vehicle's emission-related systems are functioning correctly, in preparation for an emissions test or MOT.
- Freeze Frame data: Records vehicle data at the moment an emission-related fault occurs.
- Vehicle information: Retrieves the vehicle identification number (VIN), calibration ID (CIN), and calibration verification number (CVN).
- O2 sensor test: Allows querying and viewing the test results of the O2 sensor monitor.
- DTC lookup library: A built-in database provides definitions for detected fault codes directly on the device.
