De OBDeleven 3 is een Bluetooth-dongle die u in de OBD2-poort steekt en bedient met de OBDeleven-app op uw telefoon of tablet. U leest foutcodes en live data uit bij de Volkswagen Group, BMW Group, Toyota Group, Mercedes-Benz en in de VS gebouwde Ford-modellen. Bij andere merken met CAN-bus doet u basis-OBD2-diagnose.

Dit is het losse toestel. U gebruikt het met het gratis FREE-plan: diagnose, live data en voertuigcontroles. Wilt u meer, dan koopt u later een PRO- of ULTIMATE-plan of credits voor One-Click Apps. Er zit geen betaald plan en geen credits bij.

Diagnose met het gratis FREE-plan

  • Foutcodes: Lezen en wissen, met uitgebreide uitleg.

  • Accustatus: De spanning en staat van de accu bekijken.
  • VIN-herkenning: De auto herkennen op het chassisnummer.

Zo gebruikt u hem

  1. App installeren: Installeer de OBDeleven-app en maak een account aan.
  2. Aansluiten: Steek de OBDeleven 3 in de OBD-poort en zet het contact aan.
  3. Koppelen: Koppel de dongle via Bluetooth in de app.
  4. Scannen: Laat de app de auto herkennen en alle modules scannen.
  5. Uitbreiden: Koop zo nodig een plan of credits en activeer de code in de app.

Service en onderhoudsfuncties

Onderstaande functies komen uit de OBDeleven-app. Per functie staat welk plan of welke credits nodig zijn. Of een functie bij uw auto werkt, verschilt per merk, model, bouwjaar en land.

Gratis, met het FREE-plan

  • Hybride accucontrole: De staat van de hybride accu beoordelen.
  • Kilometerstandcontrole: De stand in meerdere modules vergelijken.
  • Voertuiginspectie: Alle modules scannen en een rapport maken.
  • Emissiegereedheid: De readiness-status voor de APK bekijken.
  • Onderhoudsherinneringen: Meldingen wanneer onderhoud nodig is.
  • Gezondheidsrapport: Een overzicht van de staat van de auto.

Met credits of het ULTIMATE-plan

  • Service-reset: Het service-interval terugzetten, bij VAG en BMW. Hiervoor koopt u credits.
  • Remblokken vervangen: De procedure bij het wisselen van remblokken, bij VAG.
  • Accuregistratie (BMS): Een nieuwe accu aanmelden, waar uw model dit ondersteunt.

Met het PRO- of ULTIMATE-plan, alleen VAG

  • Basisinstellingen: Inleer- en kalibratieprocedures starten.
  • Gasklep inleren: De gasklep inleren via de basisinstellingen.
  • Stuurhoeksensor (SAS): De sensor kalibreren via de basisinstellingen.
  • Gateway-codering: Modules aan- of afmelden na in- of uitbouw.
  • Regelmodule resetten: Een module opnieuw opstarten.

Speciale functies en mogelijkheden

Naast diagnose en codering:

  • SFD-ontgrendeling: Bij VAG-modellen vanaf 2020 (MQB Evo en MEB), met PRO of ULTIMATE.
  • 5x CAN FD: Interfaces van de tweede generatie voor nieuwe auto's.
  • Spaarstand: De dongle kan in de OBD-poort blijven zitten.
  • Onbeperkt aantal auto's: Eén account werkt op al uw ondersteunde auto's.

Ondersteunde voertuigmerken

Bepalend is de combinatie van merk, model, bouwjaar en land, niet het merk alleen. Handmatige codering en aanpassingen werken alleen bij VAG. Bij BMW, MINI, Toyota, Lexus, Ford en Mercedes-Benz werkt u met diagnose, live data en One-Click Apps.

Works very nicely. Also handy is that it works via Bluetooth, so you can work around the car without struggling with the cable. With this device I was able to clear the fault for the cornering light of my Audi after replacing the bulbs, so that the system was switched on again.

You can also take out a subscription directly on the odbeleven website to the extra functions in the software, with which you can perform the common diagnostic tests, such as the turbo actuator, turbine flap and wastegate of the biturbo. The downside is that you have to pay this annually.

Apparently you can also buy credits to run certain scripts to switch car functions on and off. Also a downside, because every function call costs credits.

All in all, for basic needs it is worth the purchase. For the times you really need to set something, or so, you can take a yearly subscription to the extra functions. But if you need it for the next 10 years, you'd better buy a device with fixed software, I think.

Turned out super great

Pro plan is sufficient with Gemini AI in the background helping you step by step with the settings. Gemini then lets you watch along on your phone screen.

Order was delivered on time. Connecting the tool via Bluetooth is very quick and easy. The tool recognizes my new VW Tayron eHybrid R-Line. Scanning fault codes is very fast for such a small device.
