Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Diagnostic Tool

What's in the box

The case contains the hardware which provides the connection, plus the software rights that unlock the MHE module system. The hardware is identical to that in the standalone kit 70301001, which as the only Jaltest case also includes the USB power cable JDC60AM2. Below you'll find for each item what it is and which reference number.

Hardware

• Jaltest Link V9 (70001015): The diagnostic interface that you connect to the machine's diagnostic socket, with 26-pin DB26 to the cable and USB-C to the PC.
• Multipin Kit (70002001): Twenty multipins JTP01 through JTP10, each in two colours, the connection cable JTP101 and two power cables — JDC10AM2 with battery clamps and JDC20AM2 for the cigarette lighter socket.
• OBD cable, 16-pin (JDC213.9): The standard cable for the regular diagnostic connection.
• USB-C cable (JDC107.9B): The connection between the Link and your laptop.
• Extension cable, 100 cm (JDC100): Fitted with a 26-pin DB26 connector, the wide connector on the Link itself.
• USB power cable (JDC60AM2): Powers the Jaltest Link V9 via a USB-A port, for machines whose diagnostic connection does not supply power itself. This cable is included only in the MHE case.
• Carrying case (70003015): The compact version, 505 x 381 x 146 mm.

Software

• Software (75001001): The one-time purchase that unlocks the MHE module.
• Licence activation, twelve months (75001009): The right to use it for the first year.
• INFO Online MHE (29477): The technical documentation for the software. Included, not available separately and is free of charge from 2026 onwards.
• Jaltest GRP: Cojali's workshop software for customers, equipment and reports.

A laptop and the brand-specific cables does not come with this. See Cables and computer further down this page.

Which machines and systems are covered

Jaltest MHE covers the complete range of internal transport — forklifts, warehouse trucks, reach trucks, boom lifts and port equipment — with a single coverage list for all equipment types combined, rather than a separate list per type. A brand listed means there is coverage, not that every model and year of manufacture is fully supported. The division by continent refers to the country where the brand originates, not the current owner.

All 105 manufacturers, split by continent:

European includes the United Kingdom, Turkey and Russia. Chinese is separate from Asian, which includes Japan, South Korea, India and Taiwan. Under Other are manufacturers from Australia and Africa, plus a few names whose country of origin could not be determined.

The systems in the equipment

• Engine control: The control units for diesel, LPG and gas engines.
• Central computer: The central vehicle computer that controls the equipment.
• Power modules: The traction and pump control of electric equipment, including Zapi and Curtis units.
• Steering: Power steering control.
• Transmission: Transmission control.
• Aftertreatment: The diesel particulate filter and AdBlue module on diesel equipment.
• Instrument panel: The display and gauge unit.
• Hydraulics: The hydraulic systems of the equipment.

What you can do with it

With the MHE module you read out the control units of the equipment, you follow measured valuesand command components. It also includes a reference library with troubleshooting guides, wiring diagrams and maintenance data for the system you're working on.

Diagnostics and service

• Read fault codes: Systems are automatically recognised, with a fault code diagnostic per error.
• Measured values: The values from the connected sensors, monitored live.
• Control components: Bidirectional tests where you operate a component from the laptop.
• Parameters and calibrations: Including soot filter regenerations, aftertreatment resets, injector calibrations and hydraulic calibrations.
• ECU data: Serial number, software version and other control unit data.
• Maintenance: The maintenance data and maintenance functions of the equipment.

Technical information included

• Fault code diagnostics: By fault code and by symptom.
• Technical specifications: Of the system and of the equipment.
• Wiring diagrams: The electrical wiring diagrams for the system.
• Maintenance data: The maintenance data of the equipment.
• Procedures: Release procedures and working methods.
• Manual diagnostics: Search without the system reporting itself.

The difference with expert mode

Standard diagnostics is reading, measuring and controlling components. In expert mode you also modify adjust parameters in the control units: The calibration of sensors and actuators, the setting of operating parameters and the regeneration of the particulate filter. This mode is included.

Cables and computer

The kit contains the 16-pin OBD cable for the standard connector. Many forklifts and warehouse trucks have a manufacturer-specific connector, and there is a separate cable for this; for internal transport, a standardised OBD connection was never made mandatory, so those connectors continue to be used on new equipment. The software itself runs on a Windows PC.

• Forklift truck cable set (70002022): Cables for JLG and Haulotte, Linde round, Jungheinrich and Still.
• Boom lift and telehandler cable set (70002028): Cables for Deutz engines, Kubota, JLG and Haulotte, Genie, and the green 9-pin Deutsch connector.
• Individual cables: Also available individually, including for Toyota, Crown, Hyster and Yale, Linde, Doosan, Mitsubishi with Caterpillar, and Zapi and Curtis controllers.
• Computer: The software runs on Windows. Cojali supplies the Jaltest Rugged PC and the A140 Rugged PAD; both are listed separately in our online shop.

Which cable suits your equipment is determined by the diagnostic connector in that equipment and not by the manufacturer on the mast. Check the connector on the equipment itself before ordering: If it is the 16-pin OBD2 connector, then the included JDC213.9 is sufficient; if it is a manufacturer-specific connector, then a brand-specific cable is required: This is included in one of the two cable sets or is available to order separately.

Licence and renewal

The software licence runs for twelve months from the activation and is then renewed annually containing the update licence (75101001). As long as your licence remains active, you'll receive all new software versions and retain access to the Technical information.

• Renewal: Annually, with the update licence (75101001), each time for a further twelve months.
• Subscription period: Twelve months from activation.
• Installations: Maximum of five PCs. Jaltest hardware is always required to run the software.
• Registration: Upon activation, after each new software version, and thereafter every six months.
• Additional modules: A module purchased later will be aligned with your current licence; you pay on a pro-rata basis.
• No renewal: Diagnostics will continue to work on the last installed version, but access to technical information expires. Cojali continues to support an expired licence for a further year.

Optional add-ons

In addition to the MHE module there are add-ons available for separate purchase. They are not necessary to diagnose, but they expand the reference library, the support or tools. Below you'll find what's included for internal transport each option.

• Jaltest INFO Web MHE: The same reference material via a web platform, on a monthly or annual basis.
• Jaltest ATS: One year's access to Cojali's English-language technical support desk. Runs automatically; cancellation must be given in writing up to thirty days before the expiry date.
• Jaltest Central Services: Work carried out by Cojali's specialists for you, charged per task.
• Jaltest tools: Including the AdBlue cleaning set for agriculture, handling and internal transport, for cleaning the dosing module.
• Additional modules: If you want to add commercial vehicles, agriculture or earthmoving to your operation later, that is possible on the same Jaltest Link.
