The Autel MaxiCom MK900 is a powerful, wired Diagnostic Tool, designed for professional workshops and technicians who require speed, stability, and extensive features. As the successor to the successful MK808 series, the MK900 offers a significant upgrade in performance and software capacity. The tablet combines OE-level diagnosis, bidirectional control, and a complete package of maintenance functions, making the system widely applicable for daily work on modern vehicles.
The system is based on a fast 8-inch Android 11 tablet, equipped with a powerful processor and enhanced memory for a smooth workflow. Communication with the vehicle is via a wired OBD2 connection, ensuring an extremely stable data connection – ideal for long sessions and precise module coding. The MK900 supports modern protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP, which are essential for diagnostics on the latest generation vehicles. One year of free software updates is included with purchase . After this period, the device continues to operate on the last installed version; an annual license is required to maintain access to new updates and cloud features.
Diagnostic functions:
The Autel MaxiCom MK900 offers extensive OE-level diagnostic functionality, suitable for more than 80 vehicle brands worldwide. Thanks to the stable wired connection, fast hardware, and support for modern protocols, the system is ideal for in-depth fault analysis and live data monitoring.
- Complete system diagnosis (OE-level): Provides full access to all electronic control units, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag (SRS), BCM, steering, climate control, ADAS and more. Reads and clears fault codes with detailed technical descriptions.
- Active tests (bidirectional control): Sends commands to actuators, valves, or relays to directly test their operation. Examples include activating the fuel pump, testing the air conditioning clutch, or controlling windows, locks, or fans.
- AutoVIN / ScanVIN: Automatically recognizes the vehicle via the chassis number (VIN), or allows scanning the VIN via the built-in 8 MP camera, enabling fast and error-free vehicle identification.
- Live datastream: Displays real-time data from sensors and systems in text form, digital graph, or analog format. Supports selecting and comparing multiple datastreams simultaneously for targeted analysis.
- Pre- and post-scan reports: Automatically creates an overview of the vehicle status before and after maintenance, including fault codes, module status, and system descriptions. These reports are ideal for customer communication and workshop documentation.
Maintenance and service functions:
The Autel MaxiCom MK900 supports more than 40 maintenance and reset functions, allowing essential vehicle systems to be calibrated, reset, or relearned after maintenance or replacement. These functions are suitable for a wide range of vehicle brands and are continuously expanded via software updates.
- Oil service reset (Service): Resets the maintenance interval and service light after oil change.
- Electronic parking brake (EPB): Releases and initializes the electronic handbrake during brake service.
- Battery management system (BMS): Registers a new Battery in the vehicle and optimizes charging management.
- Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibrates the steering angle sensor after alignment or replacement of steering components.
- Diesel particulate filter regeneration (DPF): Performs a forced regeneration of the soot filter and clears fault codes.
- ABS pump bleeding (ABS): Activates the ABS system to remove air from the brake lines after repair.
- TPMS reset: Recognizes new tire pressure sensors and clears TPMS-related fault codes.
- Throttle body learning (ETC): Recalibrates the throttle position after cleaning or replacement.
- Injector coding: Programs the new injectors into the ECU with the correct identification codes.
- Transmission adaptation (CVT): Resets learning data of automatic transmissions for improved shifting performance.
- Crankshaft sensor learning (TEC): Recalibrates the position of the crankshaft sensor after replacement or engine modifications.
- AdBlue reset: Resets warnings and level measurements of the SCR system after refilling or maintenance.
- Air suspension calibration: Calibration of ride height for vehicles with electronic air suspension.
- Headlight adjustment (AFS): Calibrates adaptive or steering headlights after replacement or realignment.
- Start/stop settings: (De)activates the automatic start/stop system based on preference or system status.
- Initialize windows and sunroof: Restores automatic functions of electric windows and sunroofs.
- Seat occupancy sensor (SRS): Calibrates passenger detection for correct airbag activation.
- Transport mode: Puts the vehicle in or out of transport mode for delivery, storage, or factory settings.
- Adjust system language: Changes the language display of the vehicle display or infotainment system.
- Air/fuel ratio reset (A/F): Restores adaptive adjustment values after sensor or ECU replacement.
Cloud and reporting functions:
The Autel MaxiCom MK900 features advanced cloud and communication functionality, making workshop processes more efficient and enabling remote support.
- Autel Cloud Report Management: All pre-scan and post-scan reports are automatically saved in the Autel Cloud. This provides secure archiving, structured management of vehicle history, and access to reports from any device with an internet connection.
- Easy sharing and printing: Reports can be shared via email or wirelessly printed via Wi-Fi directly from the tablet, without the need for additional software or peripherals. Ideal for customer communication or documentation for insurance.
- Remote Access (TeamViewer): Through the built-in TeamViewer functionality, external technicians or Autel support staff can, with your permission, remotely access the device. This is particularly valuable for complex faults or when on-site support is not immediately possible.
