The DTC remover is a plug-and-play device specifically designed for Scania Euro 6 trucks. The device connects to the vehicle's OBD diagnostic port to read and clear fault codes (Diagnostic Trouble Codes). The module communicates with various electronic control units and is intended to quickly reset fault warnings without external equipment.
This device supports communication with systems such as the engine control unit, braking system, transmission, and AdBlue module. Its main purpose is the deactivation of warning lights and the resetting of alerts on the dashboard. By clearing fault codes, any limp mode that limits engine power and speed can be lifted. Clearing fault codes does not resolve the underlying cause of a fault.
Application and functionality:
The module is used to remove stored fault codes from the vehicle's various control units. This allows the driver to continue the journey after a fault.
