The MAN DTC Eraser Euro 6 / Euro 6.2 is a specialized DTC remover for heavy-duty trucks. This plug-and-play device is designed for diagnostic technicians, mechanics, and drivers to quickly and effectively clear historical and temporary fault codes from the truck’s memory. It provides an immediate technical solution for situations where the vehicle generates fault messages during driving that result in limp mode. This intervention can lift a temporary power restriction, allowing the vehicle to be safely moved to a secure location or workshop for further inspection.
Once the module is connected to the vehicle’s OBD port, it immediately initiates communication via the CAN network with the present ECUs. The system sends a forced command to the onboard computer to clear stored fault data within crucial modules, such as engine management, braking system, and the AdBlue aftertreatment systems. This cleans the fault memory and resets error codes related to emission systems, such as the NOx sensor. However, permanent fault codes caused by a physical defect will be detected again by the ECU as soon as the sensors generate new data.
