The Topdon BT300P is a battery tester designed to analyze the condition of 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries. This model can measure the actual Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) of a battery and assess the overall health status. The tester is suitable for a wide range of vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, trucks, and boats. The measurement range covers batteries from 100 to 2000 CCA.
A distinctive feature of the BT300P is the built-in thermal printer, which allows test results to be printed immediately. This is practical for documenting maintenance and sharing reports with customers. The tester is equipped with reverse polarity protection, preventing damage to the battery or device in case of incorrect connection. Operation is via a clearly readable screen and an intuitive interface, available in multiple languages.
Application and functionality:
The Topdon BT300P offers various test modes for a complete analysis of a vehicle's battery system.
- Battery Test: Analyzes the battery status, including State of Health (SOH) and State of Charge (SOC), and displays the internal resistance and measured CCA value.
- Start Test (Cranking Test): Checks the starting system by measuring the minimum starting voltage and time during engine start. This helps identify starting problems.
- Charging Test: Evaluates the operation of the vehicle's charging system, including the alternator. The test measures voltage under different loads (no load, load, and ripple test) to verify if the battery is being charged correctly.
- Integrated Printer: Enables direct printing of test reports. The report contains all important measured values from the performed tests.
Supported battery types:
The tester is compatible with a wide range of 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries.
- Regular Flooded: Standard wet lead-acid batteries.
- AGM Flat Plate: Batteries with Absorbent Glass Mat technology in a flat-plate design.
- AGM Spiral: Batteries with Absorbent Glass Mat technology in a spiral design.
- GEL: Gel batteries where the electrolyte is immobilized in a gel.
- EFB: Enhanced Flooded Battery, an improved version of the standard wet battery, often used in vehicles with start-stop systems.
Supported battery standards:
The device supports the most common international battery standards, making it widely applicable.
- CCA: Cold Cranking Amps (100-2000A)
- BCI: Battery Council International
- CA: Cranking Amps
- MCA: Marine Cranking Amps
- JIS: Japan Industrial Standard
- DIN: German Institute for Standardization
- IEC: International Electrotechnical Commission
- EN: European Standard
- SAE: Society of Automotive Engineers
