The Autool CT400 injector tester is an advanced test and cleaning bench designed for the simultaneous diagnosis and maintenance of up to six fuel injectors. This system supports, in addition to standard electronic fuel injection (EFI), specifically direct injection systems such as GDI and FSI. The machine is equipped with an integrated drive module that provides various operational test voltages, including 12V, 70V, and 120V, for the correct control of high-voltage injectors. Thanks to the combination of a ultrasonic cleaning bath with a frequency of 40KHz and a hydraulic test circuit with a variable system pressure up to 0.6 MPa, technicians can both remove internal contamination and mechanically assess the spray pattern.

This test bench simulates real engine conditions through adjustable PWM pulse widths up to 20 milliseconds and variable speeds ranging from 0 to 7500 RPM. The operator places the components to be tested in the adjustable distribution rail, after which test fluid is pumped under controlled working pressure through the injectors towards the individual 110 ml measuring cylinders. This allows a direct visual comparison of fuel output and needle sealing per cylinder. The integrated control panel provides access to programmed cycles, while a mechanical drain valve ensures the safe recovery of the test fluid to the internal main reservoir for efficient reuse.

ADVANTAGES

Supports 12V, 70V, and 120V control for broad GDI and FSI compatibility.
Simultaneous testing and cleaning of up to six components via the 6-cylinder configuration.
Includes a built-in drawer for neatly storing adapters and couplings.
Integrated fluid level indicator and drain valve for a closed fluid system.

POINTS OF ATTENTION

Strict separation is required between the test circuit and the ultrasonic tank regarding fluid use.
For cleaning directly on the vehicle, an optional no-disassembly kit is required.

Applications and functionalities

The test bench is equipped with various pre-programmed operating modes to thoroughly map the functionality and condition of the injection system.

  • Ultrasonic cleaning: Generates vibrations of 40KHz in the liquid bath to loosen stubborn carbon deposits on the outside and inside of the injector needle.
  • Leak test: Puts the fluid system under constant high pressure without electrically activating the injectors. This checks whether the needle seal is completely fluid-tight.
  • Spray volume test: Measures the exact output of the injectors over a specific time at idle, medium, or high speed. Any deviations between cylinders are immediately visible in the measuring glasses.
  • Acceleration test: Simulates a sudden increase in engine speed. This tests the response speed of the electromagnet or piezo crystals under varying loads.

Special features and capabilities

In addition to the standard test cycles, the system offers additional functions essential for maintaining modern, complex injection systems.

  • Voltage selection: Allows the technician to manually select the correct operating voltage (12V, 70V, or 120V). This prevents electrical damage to components when testing specific GDI systems.
  • Reverse flushing: Directs the test fluid back through the injector nozzle to the fuel inlet. This flushes internal dirt and debris out of the component instead of pushing it further into the filter.
  • Active cooling system: A built-in 60W cooling fan combined with thermal protection prevents the drive circuits from overheating during prolonged operation of high-voltage injectors.

Package Contents

💡
Good to know: Use only specific, water-free injector test fluid in the glass circuit and special cleaning fluid in the ultrasonic tank. Using corrosive cleaners or flammable substances such as pure gasoline in the main circuit can irreparably damage the internal diaphragm pumps and seals.
