The Autel MaxiCheck MX900 update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the MX900 by one year. The MX900 is a wired diagnostic scanner that accesses all available vehicle modules at OE level and draws its coverage from a database that grows with the market. The device supports more than eighty American, Asian and European vehicle manufacturers and communicates via DoIP and CAN FD — the protocols used by the latest model years. With an active licence, that database stays current.

A licence renewal keeps three things moving: manufacturer coverage, service procedures and online services such as reporting and remote support. We handle the registration to your MX900's serial number, normally within one working day. No package needs to be shipped and there is no activation code that can go missing. Without renewal, the software already installed on the device remains fully usable.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕Once linked, the licence belongs to that single serial number; transferring it to a second device is not possible.

✕A renewal provides software only, not hardware — the MaxiVideo inspection cameras MV105S and MV108S must be purchased separately.
✕Downloading requires a stable wifi connection; on a busy guest network, a large update can take considerable time.

An update to the MX900 is rarely just a longer list of manufacturers. The function databases and online services change too. Below you can see what you gain with a renewal and what stops without one.

What an extension provides

  • New vehicle coverage: Makes, models and model years added after your last update become available within the existing diagnostic functions.
  • Expanded service functions: Procedures such as oil and service interval reset, DPF regeneration, AdBlue system reset, EGR valve learning and steering angle sensor calibration continue to support newer vehicles as manufacturers refine their systems.
  • High-voltage functions: Battery pack and powertrain diagnostics keep up with newer electric models.

What happens without an extension

  • New versions: Nothing new arrives, including no corrections to the software already installed.
  • Online services: Services running through manufacturer servers may become limited or unavailable afterwards.
