The set contains all necessary components for correctly adjusting engine timing, including a camshaft locking Tools, a crankshaft locking pin, and Tools for positioning the camshaft sensor discs. The parts are supplied in a plastic storage case.
Application and functionality:
This set is designed for adjusting and checking engine timing when replacing the timing chain or during other engine repairs.
- Locking the camshafts: The camshaft locking Tools and the Tools for the camshaft sensor discs fix the camshafts in the correct position.
- Locking the crankshaft: The crankshaft locking pin is used to secure the crankshaft at top dead center (TDC).
- Positioning the camshaft sensor: A specific Tools ensures the correct alignment of the camshaft sensor.
- Tensioning the timing chain: The locking pins are used to keep the chain tensioner and drive belt tensioner in a retracted position during assembly.
