The Renault DTC Remover and DPF Soot Level Resetter is a specific DTC eraser developed for Trucks. This diagnostic tool is designed for mechanics and diagnostic technicians to quickly erase historical fault codes and reset stuck soot filter statuses. It enables professionals to resolve software faults in the aftertreatment system, keeping a vehicle operational for further inspection or controlled movement.

Through the standard OBD port, the module communicates directly over the CAN bus network with the engine control unit (ECU) of the Truck. The device sends specific protocols to clear the fault memory of the connected control units and restore the stored software values of the DPF system (Diesel Particulate Filter). This action can temporarily lift an active speed or power limitation, known as limp mode. However, permanent fault codes require a physical repair first before the ECU permanently removes the associated fault message.
