The ECU Flasher software licence activates on your KeyMaster G3 the read, write and clone from control modules freely. This is done via the OBD connection and, where the module supports it, also on the workbench.
One replacement control module rarely works immediately. It needs to know the vehicle's data before the car will accept it, which means there's something read and written must be. The same function rescues a module that has failed during an unsuccessful update become stuck.

IMPORTANT NOTES
✕Valid for twelve months: After completion this module group is locked; the rest of the G3 continues to work normally.
✕Always create a backup first: Writing is not easily reversible, so read out the existing software first.
✕Serial number mandatory: Without the twelve-digit serial number we are unable to activate your device.
✕Tied to one device: The licence is cannot be transferred to another device or a different owner.

OBDSTAR distributes the KeyMaster G3 into five module groups. The table below shows which vehicle group you unlock with this licence and what not included.

Group C — ECU Flasher
This module group unlocks the engine management, the gearbox and the body modules from passenger vehicles, and additionally the engine management systems of motorcycles.
- Deploying replacement module: Transfer the vehicle data so the car recognises the new unit accepts.
- Create a backup beforehand: Read the existing software and retain before you start.
- Rescue a stalled update: The software reset on a module that has become stuck during programming.
- Continue working at the workbench: Where the module supports it, the vehicle does not need to be not included with to stand.

What you'll need
Activation is processed through your OBDSTAR account. Without the components listed below, you cannot programme the module group not use.
- An OBDSTAR KeyMaster G3: The licence activates a device that you already has and is not supplied separately.
- A registered OBDSTAR account: The activation code is included registered that we prepare for you.
- An internet connection: The device checks on startup which module groups be unlocked.
- Your device serial number: The twelve digits on the sticker on the back, in the menu system information and in your OBDSTAR account.

How does it work in practice?
From order to active module group there are four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.
- Provide serial number: Enter at checkout the twelve-digit serial number from your KeyMaster G3; that is required.
- We'll get it ready for you: We register the activation with OBDSTAR, typically within one working day.
- Email confirmation: You'll hear from us as soon as the module group on your serial number is shown.
- Update device: Start the G3 with internet connection; the unlocked group will then appear in the menu.
