The Ford Euro 6 DTC remover is a specialized fault code eraser designed for professional mechanics, diagnostic technicians, and drivers of heavy commercial vehicles. This plug-and-play device is used to quickly and efficiently clear stored fault codes in the truck's onboard electronics. Its primary purpose is to provide an immediate solution when a vehicle has entered limpmode due to emission or engine faults. This allows a power or speed limitation to be temporarily lifted so the truck can be safely and controlledly moved to a workshop without the immediate need for extensive diagnostic equipment on site.
Technically, the product functions by communicating directly with the vehicle's ECU through the standard OBD port via the CAN bus network. Upon connection, the module automatically executes a programmed sequence that sends a reset command to the active control modules, specifically targeting the engine and emission systems. This process clears historical fault codes from memory and restores the default parameters for power output. It is important to note that permanent fault codes caused by a physical defect, such as the NOx sensor, remain present in the background; the onboard computer will register the fault again as soon as the system detects the hardware issue during a new driving cycle.
