The Toyota 22-pin to 16-pin adapter cable is specifically developed to connect older Toyota vehicles, equipped with the rectangular 22-pin diagnostic connector, to modern diagnostic equipment. This adapter features a 22-pin connector on the vehicle side (often referred to as DLC2) and converts to a standardized OBD2 16-pin female connector, creating compatibility with current reading interfaces.
This adapter cable facilitates the physical bridge and correct pin assignment between the proprietary Toyota wiring and the universal OBD2 plug. The internal configuration ensures that the specific data lines, power, and ground of the control unit are correctly transmitted, allowing suitable diagnostic equipment to communicate with the vehicle electronics. It is a passive adapter that requires the connected diagnostic equipment to support Toyota's pre-OBD2 protocols in software.
This adapter cable is designed to enable communication between a diagnostic tester and the ECU of older Toyota models. Functionality depends on the capabilities of the connected diagnostic device.
This adapter is suitable for Toyota vehicles produced approximately between 1990 and the early 2000s, equipped with the 22-pin diagnostic connector in the engine compartment.
Toyota:
Nice connector that fits well, only a shame that it didn't help me, because apparently my diagnostic equipment turns out to be incompatible.
But service in terms of delivery speed is perfect!
Mooie stekker die goed past, alleen jammer dat ik er niks aan had, omdat schijnbaar mijn uitleesapparatuur niet geschikt blijkt te zijn.
Maar service qua snelheid levering is perfect!
