Launch CAN FD Connector | Accessories

The Launch CAN FD Connector is an adapter cable developed for connecting Launch X-431 diagnostic equipment with vehicles using the CAN FD (Controller Area Network Flexible Data-Rate) communication protocol. This Adapter is necessary for reading modern vehicle systems, especially from brands such as General Motors, Ford, and Jaguar Land Rover from model year 2020 onwards, whose electronic architecture is based on the faster CAN FD protocol.

The connector functions as a bridge between the standard VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) of the diagnostic device and the vehicle's OBD-II port. It converts the CAN FD signals so that the diagnostic computer can process the data. The housing is equipped with LED indicators that display the status of the power supply and active communication with the vehicle, supporting the diagnostic process.

Application and functionality:

This Adapter enables diagnostics on vehicles that are not accessible with a standard VCI without CAN FD support. The connector is placed directly between the VCI and the vehicle's diagnostic plug.
