The Jaltest JDC616A is the adapter between the 4-pin connection for Suzuki-outboard motors and the standard 16-pin OBD2-interface from the Jaltest Link. The motor side features the 4-pin connector, while the interface side has the 16-pin OBD2 connection. The connector is located in the engine compartment, on or near the engine; on the DF series, Suzuki also uses an 8-pin diagnostic connector.
The cable opens the diagnostic line to the control units of the DF Series: The ECM, the Engine Control Module, and the BCM, the control module for the throttle and shift levers. The ECM displays the complete function list, including component control, parameters, calibration, reset and manual procedures; the BCM is limited to fault codes, measured values, ECU data and calibration. The cable falls under Jaltest Marine.
