The Jaltest JDC311A connects the 9-pin Sub-D diagnostic socket on Solaris buses to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the vehicle side, a Sub-D connector features nine pins arranged in two rows—five above and four below—housed in a metal shielded cap secured with two knurled screws. The black plastic housing includes a right-angle cable entry, allowing the lead to run upwards alongside the connector; it measures 28 to 30 cm.
Once connected, Jaltest software accesses the bus vehicle network and the control units that Solaris sources from various suppliers: the engine controller DMCI, the automatic transmissions DIWA and Ecomat, the braking and air suspension systems, the door control MTS and the climate control ATC. Which units you encounter depends on the components selected during your bus's manufacture. The cable works with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under the Jaltest CV module.

Applications and functionality
Using this connection, you access the bus control units with Jaltest software. The units listed below are covered by the Solaris support of Jaltest CV. Which ones are present depends on the engine supplier, the brake supplier and the brake control supplier selected during manufacture.

- DIWA 3 / DIWA 5 / Ecomat 2-4 / EcoLife, automatic gearbox: The automatic transmissions from Voith and ZF.
- ABS D/E and EBS / EBS 2 / EBS ZM: The braking and brake management systems of the bus.
- ECAS BUS / ECAS CAN 2, electronically controlled air suspension: The level control with kneeling function.
- MTS, Modular Door Control System: The control of passenger doors.
- ATC / ATC Coach, Automatic Temperature Control: The climate control of the city bus and coach.
- EAS/EAS-2, exhaust aftertreatment: The treatment of exhaust gases.
- BODAS RC Series 21 and FMS, Fleet Management System: The programmable body control unit and the fleet data module.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit with descriptions of detected faults.
- View measured values: The current readings from sensors connected to the control unit, displayed as figures and graphs.
- Activate components: Directly trigger components to determine whether the fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring.
- Configure parameters: Write configurations and settings to the control unit.
- Perform calibrations: For systems where Jaltest offers a calibration procedure, for example after component replacement.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable fits any Solaris bus with the 9-pin Sub-D diagnostic connector, which the manufacturer used on city buses and coaches from the earliest production years. The models listed below are covered by Jaltest CV. Check which connector is fitted to your bus on the vehicle itself before ordering.
