The Jaltest JDC549.9 connects the 4-pin diagnostic connector of JLG and Haulotte aerial work platforms directly to the 26-pin DB26 port on the Jaltest Link. On the machine side, it features a milky white rectangular plug with four round sockets and a locking tab; on the interface side sits the DB26 coupling, which fits onto the interface's main cable and therefore requires no 16-pin adapter. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm.
Through this connection, Jaltest software unlocks the hydraulic and engine control systems of the machine: HYDRAULICS on JLG scissor lifts, HYDRAULICS (CAN) on Haulotte aerial platforms, and on the engine side the Deutz controllers EMR2 through EMR5, Kubota E-CDIS, Kohler controllers and the EControls ECM 4G for petrol and gas variants. The full feature set is available for scissor lifts; on the larger JLG boom lifts, the hydraulic controller appears in the table without supported functions. The digit after the full stop in the reference indicates the interface: this cable is compatible with the Jaltest Link V9 and falls under Jaltest MHE (internal transport and lifting equipment).

Applications and functionality
Via this connection, you access the Jaltest software to communicate with the hydraulic control unit and the engine control unit of the aerial work platform. Which units are present varies by model and engine variant. The following units are included in the JLG and Haulotte coverage.

- HYDRAULICS (CAN), hydraulic control: The hydraulic control system of Haulotte aerial work platforms using CAN communication.
- EMR2 - EDC, EMR3 - EDC 16 UC40, EMR3 - EDC 7 UC31, EMR4 - EDC 17 CV52 / CV54 and EMR5 - EDC MD1: The successive Deutz engine control units in JLG machines.
- E-CDIS, engine control with common rail injection: The Kubota engine control system, with additional functions.
- ECM Kohler and ECM Kohler (Stage V), engine control with common rail injection: The Kohler engine control systems in Haulotte machines.
- EControls ECM 4G, engine control: The control system for petrol and gas variants.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit, with detailed descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: The current readings from sensors connected to the control unit, displayed as figures and graphs.
- Check service information: The maintenance intervals and work performed on the machine, including a service report.
- Perform additional functions: For E-CDIS and EMR4 engine controls and for the hydraulic system of scissor lifts.
- View diagnostic warnings: For the hydraulic control system of JLG scissor lifts.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable connects to the 4-pin diagnostic port of JLG aerial work platforms and boom lifts and to the equivalent connection on Haulotte aerial work platforms. Lifting and handling equipment has never required an OBD connection, which means the same connector is used across multiple machine generations. The following series are covered by Jaltest MHE.
