The Jaltest JDC542A is the adapter cable between the round 9-pin diagnostic connector of industrial diesel engines Liebherr and the 16-pin OBD2 of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. The connector is located on the engine or in the associated wiring harness, allowing you to connect to stationary installations and power units where no vehicle diagnostic port is available.
The cable opens the diagnostic line to the engine control unit: ECU2-HD, ECU3, LIDEC1 of LH ECU UPCR, depending on the engine type and generation. With ECU2-HD, ECU3 and LIDEC1, fault codes, measured values and ECU data are covered alongside maintenance information; with LH ECU UPCR, maintenance data is not included. Industrial and stationary engines are not subject to OBD requirements, which is why this connector appears across multiple engine generations. The cable falls under Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway machines).

- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit with detailed descriptions of detected faults.

- Access maintenance data: Available for ECU2-HD, ECU3, and LIDEC1; not available for LH ECU UPCR.
