The Jaltest JDC540A is the diagnostic cable for Bosch Rexroth BODAS control units with RS232 diagnostics; it connects the 8-pin RS232 connector to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. This connector is part of the control unit itself and is typically located in the cab or control cabinet with the machine's electronics. The determining factor is the Bosch Rexroth control unit installed in the machine, not the machine manufacturer, which means the same cable works across work machines from different manufacturers.
With this connection, Jaltest diagnostic equipment reads the BODAS RC Series (RS232), the programmable machine controller that manages hydrostatic drive and work functions in work machines. This version covers fault codes plus live data readings, ECU information, parameters and real-time data monitoring, but does not include component control, calibration or reset functions. The cable falls under Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway machines) and Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
