The Jaltest JDC526A is the cable that the brand-specific 19-pin diagnostic connector from FPT and Deutz engines convert to the standard 16-pin OBD2-connection for your Jaltest diagnostic cable. The 19-pin connector belongs to the engine and is located in the engine compartment; which one you'll find depends on the engine generation and not on the machine's year of manufacture.
Through this connection, the diagnostic equipment accesses the engine network and thus the engine control unit and aftertreatment system: From EDC 7 C1 and EDC 7 UC31 via EDC 16 C39 and EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2 to EDC MD1 CE101, plus the AdBlue dosing system Denoxtronic 2.1. The feature set varies by generation: Newer control units include maintenance intervals and additional actions in coverage, while EDC 16 C39, EDC 7 C1 and EDC 7 UC31 (K Line) lack maintenance intervals. Jaltest categorizes FPT engines under IVECO-FPT. The cable falls under Jaltest Multi-Purpose Vehicle.

Through this connection, you can access the engine control unit and aftertreatment system using Jaltest software. Jaltest classifies FPT engines under IVECO-FPT.
Control units you can access
- EDC 7 C1 and EDC 7 UC31 (CAN and K Line): The first common-rail generations. With the CAN version, maintenance intervals are also included in coverage; with the K Line version, they are not.
- EDC 16 C39, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The intermediate generation.
- EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2: The control unit with integrated aftertreatment, also available in EURO 6D specification.
- EDC MD1 CE101, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The current generation with the most comprehensive feature set.
- Denoxtronic 2.1, Exhaust gas treatment system: The AdBlue dosing system, which Jaltest reads as a separate system.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the control unit's fault memory with detailed fault descriptions, and clear it after repair.
- View live data: Monitor current sensor values from the control unit, with the ability to set alarm thresholds for out-of-range readings.
- Maintenance: Check engine maintenance intervals and document completed service work in a report. Available on models including EDC 7 UC31 (CAN), EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2 and EDC MD1 CE101.
- Special functions: Additional procedures offered by Jaltest for each control unit, such as reset and calibration functions. Only available with EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2 and EDC MD1 CE101.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type is what matters, not the machine. FPT and Deutz engines are installed as standalone powerplants; Jaltest covers several engine series for IVECO-FPT.
