The Jaltest JDC408A is a specific adapter cable designed to bypass the security module in recent Renault and Nissan commercial vehicles. The adapter connects the 16- and 32-pin connectors of the vehicle wiring harness directly to a standard 16-pin OBD2 connection. This enables direct communication with the CAN network for advanced diagnostics.

This SGW bypass works by physically routing communication around the Security Gateway module. This gives the diagnostic tester full read and write access to the vehicle’s control units. Without this hardware bypass, the vehicle network blocks bidirectional commands, including clearing fault codes and learning components.
