The Jaltest JDC506A9 is the adapter connecting the 4-pin diagnostic connector of Fendt tractors to the standard 16-pin OBD2-interface of the Jaltest Link. On the vehicle side, you'll find the small 4-pin connector that plugs into the cab, and on the interface side, the 16-pin OBD2 port where you connect your Jaltest diagnostic cable. Fendt used this connector on the Favorit, Farmer, and Xylon generations.
Behind this single connection lies far more than just engine control: On the same line you'll find the GTR transmission, the EHR and EHF lift systems, the Comfort dashboard computer, and on the Xylon, the PTO shafts, differential lock, and suspended front axle. On the Favorit 900, you can also reach the engine control unit EDC MS6.4 with distributor injection pump. Agricultural vehicles have no legal OBD requirement, which is why Fendt kept this proprietary connector in use for so long. This cable falls under Jaltest AGV (agricultural vehicles).

Applications and Functions
Through this 4-pin connection, you can access the tractor's control units with Jaltest software. Which units are available varies by model and configuration.
Control units you can access
- Engine management EDC MS6.4, distributor injection pump: The electronic engine control of the Favorit 900 series.
- Transmission GTR: The gearbox control unit; present on virtually all 4-pin Fendt models.
- On-board computer Comfort (body computer): The central control unit for comfort and body functions.
- Hydraulics EHR (hydraulic lift) and EHF (front lift hydraulic control): The rear and front lift systems.
- Hydraulics Rexroth Valves (remote hydraulic controller): The control of external hydraulic valves on the Favorit 900.
- Electronic module Valves (valves control module): The valve control on the Farmer 400.
- PTO FPTO and RPTO: The front and rear power take-off shafts of the Xylon 500.
- Drivetrain 4WD (differential lock unit): The four-wheel drive and differential lock of the Xylon 500.
- Suspension SFA: The suspension management of the suspended front axle on the Xylon 500.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit with descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: The current sensor values monitored by the control unit, with the ability to set alarm thresholds.
