The Autel Nissan 14-pin adapter is a conversion cable that establishes a connection between a vehicle with a 14-pin OBD1 diagnostic port and a modern diagnostic device with a standard 16-pin OBD2 connector. This adapter is specifically designed for older Nissan models that are not yet equipped with the standardized OBD2 connector. The cable features a male 14-pin plug for the vehicle side and a female 16-pin connector for the diagnostic tester.
By using this adapter, it becomes possible to communicate with the various control units of the vehicle using compatible Autel scanners or other diagnostic equipment. This allows reading fault codes (DTCs), viewing live data, and performing diagnostics on systems such as engine management. The adapter translates the communication protocols, thereby extending the functionality of an OBD2 scanner to vehicles with the older Nissan-specific connection.
Application and functionality:
This adapter is developed to enable diagnostics on older Nissan vehicles with a 14-pin port.
- Connection: Creates a physical and communication link between a Nissan 14-pin diagnostic port and a universal 16-pin OBD2 scanner.
- Diagnostics: Enables the use of diagnostic systems to read and clear fault codes from the engine control unit and other connected modules.
- Compatibility: Provides support for vehicles using the Nissan-specific OBD1 protocol, also known as the Nissan Consult I interface.
Compatible vehicles and applications:
This conversion cable is compatible with various older Nissan models equipped with a 14-pin diagnostic connection. The application may vary by region and version.
