The Topdon UltraDiag update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the UltraDiag with one year. The UltraDiag is an eight-inch tablet with a wireless MDCI interface, covering more than one hundred vehicle manufacturers, with coverage drawn from a database that expands as the market evolves. Beyond coding, the device performs genuine key programming, as it programmes keys, deletes them and handles situations where all keys are lost, and it includes a repair library with an active licence, that database remains current.
A licence renewal keeps the manufacturer coverage, the key and EEPROM procedures and the coding files . No service desk registration is required, as you receive a code by e-mail and activate the renewal yourself in the update menu of the UltraDiag. The serial number of the device is mandatory at the time of ordering. After expiry, the already installed software remains fully functional.

Applications and functionality
An update to the UltraDiag is rarely just an extended list of makes. The function files and to the online servicesalso change. Below is what you gain with a renewal and what stops working without one.
What a renewal provides
- New vehicle coverage: Brands, models and model years added after your last update become available within existing diagnostic functions.
- Expanded service functions: also changes. Procedures such as oil reset, cylinder balance testing, variable geometry turbo programming, AdBlue system reset and adaptive headlight system reset continue to support newer vehicles as manufacturers modify their systems.
- Key and immobiliser files: The file containing key, transponder and immobiliser procedures grows alongside newer systems.
What happens without renewal
- New versions: Nothing further is added, including no corrections to software already installed.
- Online side: Services running through manufacturer servers may become limited or unavailable after expiry.
- Remains functional: The device is not locked; all installed functions continue to work fully.

How does it work in practice?
There are four steps between your order and an updated UltraDiag, and three of these are handled by us or the device itself.
- Find the serial number: Locate the serial number of your UltraDiag and provide it when ordering; this field is mandatory.
- Code in your mailbox: The code is in the message we send you, usually within one working day.
- Activate the renewal: In the update menu of the UltraDiag, enter the code, and the new period begins.
- Download updates: Connect the UltraDiag to the charger, link to wifi and download the available versions.
