The Topdon TopScan Master Update License is a digital software license that extends the software support for your diagnostic scanner for 1 year. With this license, you maintain access to the latest software versions, expanded vehicle coverage, and functional improvements released by the manufacturer. During this period, technicians can benefit from continuous updates at no additional cost, keeping the device current for servicing newer vehicle models and updated diagnostic protocols.
Activation is completed using an update card with a 12-character activation code. After receiving it, you log into the corresponding Topdon TopScan Master software or app and enter the code manually through the license or activation menu. Once successfully entered, updates become available on your device. When the license period expires, the already installed software continues to work normally, but new software updates and additional vehicle coverage are blocked until the license is renewed.

Serial Number Information
To link and register your license, you may need the serial number of your Topdon TopScan Master. You can find this serial number in the following locations.
- Back of the Device: The serial number is printed on a sticker on the back of the TopScan Master.
- App Information Menu: You can retrieve the serial number digitally through the settings or device information menu in the accompanying Topdon app.
- Original packaging: The serial number is also printed on the box or packaging label.
