The license remains valid for 1 year from activation and unlocks new software versions, expanded vehicle coverage, and improvements to existing diagnostic features throughout this period. This keeps your scanner compatible with newer vehicles and current diagnostic protocols without requiring hardware replacement.
After purchase, you'll receive an update card with a 12-character activation code. This code is entered manually through the Phoenix Lite 3's companion software or app, after which updates become available on your device. Once the 1-year license period expires, the installed software continues to work normally, but new updates and additional vehicle coverage are blocked until you renew your license.
