The Topdon Phoenix Lite 2 update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the Phoenix Lite 2 with one year. The Phoenix Lite 2 is a compact eight-inch diagnostic tablet with the wireless MDCI Lite interface. The device codes online on Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche and the VAG group, performs bidirectional control of injectors, pumps and windows among others, and works with the guided functions of the VAG group. As long as the licence is active, every new software version via the update menu on the device itself.
When placing your order, provide the serial number of your Phoenix Lite 2; this is mandatory. You will then receive the renewal card by email, usually within one working day, and enter the code in the update menu of the device. A renewal keeps the vehicle coverage, the service procedures and the coding files up to date; the online side of coding requires an active licence. When the licence expires, the Phoenix Lite 2 continues to operate on the most recently installed version, but you can no longer install new versions.

- New vehicle coverage: Brands, models and model years added after your last update become available within existing diagnostic functions.
- Expanded service functions: Procedures such as oil service, idle control valve learning, diesel particulate filter regeneration, steering angle sensor and battery management continue to support newer vehicles as manufacturers modify their systems.
- Coding files: The coding and adaptation procedures follow the modules released by manufacturers.
What happens without renewal
- No further updates: The update menu remains empty, even when the manufacturer releases new versions.
- Cloud services: Reporting and support running through the manufacturer's servers may cease.
- Existing diagnostics: Reading, clearing, live data and active tests on already supported vehicles continue to work normally.

How does it work in practice?
From order to updated device takes four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.
- Provide serial number: Specify the serial number of your Phoenix Lite 2 when placing your order; this is mandatory.
