\nThe Topdon EV Software Package update licence extends your right to software-updates for the EV software with one year. The EV software is an extension that adds electric vehicle diagnostics to a Phoenix Smart or Phoenix Max and obtains its coverage from a file that expands with the market. This extension does not come with a standalone device but is part of theEV softwarerunning on your Phoenix device; the manufacturer also specifies coverage ofTesla. With an active licence, that file remains current.\n
\nAn extension keeps the EV Coverage at, and that's precisely where things are moving fast, as manufacturers are continually releasing new electric vehicle models and battery packs. There's no need for any service desk registration, as you'll receive a code via email and activates the renewal itself in the software update subscription of the EV software. The serial number of the device is mandatory at time of purchase. After expiry, the already installed software remains fully functional.\n

- Remains fully functional: The device is not locked; all installed functions continue to work completely.

How does it work in practice?
There are four steps between your order and updated EV software, and we or the device itself handle three of them.
- Find the serial number: Locate the serial number of your EV software and provide it with your order; this field is required.
- Activation code in your inbox: The code will be in the message we send you, usually within one working day.
- Activate the extension: In the EV software update menu, you enter the code and the new licence period begins.
- Download versions: Connect the EV software to the charger, connect to wifi and download the available versions.
