The Topdon ArtiDiag 800 update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the ArtiDiag 800 with one year. What the ArtiDiag 800 can do is determined by the software, not the hardware. The device is a wired seven-inch tablet that identifies the vehicle by its chassis number. The device scans all systems in a single operation up to a health report and performs standard resets as well as gear learning, transmission adjustment and headlight alignment. An extension gives you one year's access to all new versions released during that period.
The extension is digital. You will receive a card with a code in your mailbox and enters it on the ArtiDiag 800 itself, in the update menu. When ordering, provide the serial number of the device, as this field is mandatory. An extension keeps the vehicle coverage and the service procedures as new model years are added only whilst the licence is active.

Three things on the ArtiDiag 800 depend on the licence. The vehicle coverage determines which vehicles the device recognises, the function files determine what it can do with them, and the online services deliver external data.
What a renewal provides
- New vehicle coverage: Brands, models and model years added after your last update become available within existing diagnostic functions.
- Expanded service functions: Procedures such as oil service, steering angle sensor reset, injector coding, air suspension calibration and sunroof initialisation continue to support newer vehicles as manufacturers modify their systems.
- Corrections and improvements: Bug fixes, faster routines and corrected procedures in the software itself arrive through the same updates.
What happens without renewal
- No further updates: The update menu remains empty, even when the manufacturer releases new versions.
- Cloud services: Reporting and support running through the manufacturer's servers may cease.
- No feature loss: What you can do with the ArtiDiag 800 today, you can still do after the licence expires.
