The Topdon ArtiDiag 100 update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the ArtiDiag 100 with one year. The ArtiDiag 100 is a compact wired diagnostic device with a five-inch display, the entry-level model in the ArtiDiag range. The unit performs OBD diagnostics such as EVAP testing, oxygen sensor diagnostics and readiness checks, whilst reading fault codes, live data and freeze frames. For the duration of your licence, every new software version within via the update menu on the device itself.

When placing your order, please provide the serial number from your ArtiDiag 100; this is mandatory. You will then receive the renewal licence via email, typically within one business day, and enters the code in the update menu of the device. An extension provides the vehicle coverage and the reset procedures provided the manufacturer continues to release versions for this older model. Once the licence expires, the ArtiDiag 100 will continue to operate on the latest installed version, but installing new versions will no longer be possible.

An active licence covers three components of the ArtiDiag 100. These are the vehicle coverage, the function files and the online services. Below is what a renewal provides and what occurs if you do not renew.

What a renewal provides

New vehicle coverage: Brands, models and model years added after your last update become available within existing diagnostic functions.
Expanded service functions: Service procedures such as oil service resets continue to work on newer vehicles as manufacturers update their systems.
Corrections and improvements: Bug fixes, faster routines and corrected procedures in the software itself arrive through the same updates.

What happens without renewal

No further updates: The update menu remains empty, even when the manufacturer releases new versions.
Cloud services: Reporting and support running through the manufacturer's servers may cease.
Existing diagnostics: Reading, clearing, live data and active tests on already supported vehicles continue to work normally.
