This 9-piece set contains parts for fixing the camshafts and the flywheel, and specific tools for the chain tensioners and the VVT units (variable valve timing). The components are designed to keep the engine components in the correct position, ensuring precise timing. All tools are supplied in a plastic storage case.
Application and functionality:
This set contains tools used for maintaining and adjusting the timing systems of the specified V8 engines.
- Locking camshafts: The adjustment plates are used to lock the camshafts in their TDC position (top dead center).
- Fixing the crankshaft: The supplied locking pins are used to fix the flywheel, securing the crankshaft in the correct position.
- Adjusting VVT units: The adjustment tool allows the variable valve timing (VVT) to be correctly aligned and adjusted.
- Holding the camshaft sprocket: The holding tool prevents the camshaft sprocket from rotating when loosening or tightening the central bolt.
- Managing chain tension: The tension wedges and locking pins are used to press and lock the hydraulic chain tensioners during the installation or removal of the timing chain.
