Autool SDT206 | Smoke Tester
The Autool SDT206 is a smoke tester for detecting leaks in various vehicle systems. The device operates on a 12V DC power supply and has an integrated air pump, so external compressed air is not needed. The smoke tester generates a smoke flow of less than 6 liters per minute at an output pressure of less than 1.24 Bar.
The SDT206 is equipped with a manometer for checking the pressure and a flowmeter for observing the airflow. With the independently switchable air and smoke mode, testing can be done both with and without smoke. The device features an oliemaatglas and an overheating protection. An extensive set of adapters and plugs is included for sealing various systems.
Application and functionality:
The smoke tester is used to locate leaks by filling a system with smoke and visually inspecting where the smoke escapes.
- Leak detection with smoke: Fills systems with dense smoke to make leaks visible in, among others, the intake system, exhaust system, EVAP system, and crankcase.
- Air pressure test: The built-in air pump can be used separately to pressurize a system and observe the pressure drop via the pressure gauge.
- Integrated flow meter: Provides a visual indication of the size of a leak by measuring the airflow.
- Overheat protection: The device automatically switches off when the operating temperature exceeds a limit to protect the internal components.
