VT01393B | VAG - 3.0L (TDI) Timingset (5-piece)

The timing set (VT01393B) is a collection of tools for locking and adjusting the camshafts and crankshaft. This set is specifically developed for timing work on 3.0L V6 TDI common-rail engines used in vehicles from the VAG group, including Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen.

The set includes, among other things, two camshaft locking brackets, a crankshaft locking pin, and an Adapter for turning the crankshaft. The tools are designed to ensure precise timing when replacing the timing chain or performing engine repairs. All parts are supplied in a sturdy storage case for transport and storage.

Application and functionality:

This set is used for fixing engine components during maintenance of the timing system.

• Locking the camshafts: The two brackets are used to fix the camshafts in the correct position.
• Fixing the crankshaft: The locking pin is screwed into the engine block to secure the crankshaft at top dead center (TDC).
• Locking the chain tensioner: The included pin is used to keep the hydraulic chain tensioner in the compressed position.
• Crankshaft rotation: The Adapter allows manual rotation of the crankshaft for correct timing alignment.
