The Julie Toyota IMMO OFF emulator is an electronic module designed for the permanent deactivation of the immobilizer system in the engine control unit (ECU). Its primary function is to replace the original signal from the immobilizer, thereby releasing the ECU and allowing the engine to start. This IMMO OFF solution is used for diagnosing and repairing faulty immobilizer components or to test the engine control unit independently of the immobilizer system.
The emulator is compatible with specific Toyota vehicles where the immobilizer data is stored directly in the ECU. The use of the Julie Toyota IMMO OFF emulator is intended solely for testing and workshop purposes. Permanently disabling the immobilizer can significantly reduce vehicle security, and its use may be subject to legal restrictions depending on local regulations.
Applications and functionalities:
- IMMO OFF - Deactivation of the start blocking system: The primary application is the permanent disabling of the factory immobilizer. This is a solution when the original IMMO components are defective, keys are lost, or during an engine or ECU swap where the original IMMO data cannot be transferred.
- Start system fault diagnosis: The emulator can be used to determine whether a starting problem is related to the immobilizer system. If the vehicle starts with the emulator installed, it confirms that the fault lies in the original IMMO components.
- Signal simulation: The emulator generates and sends the authorization signal that the ECU expects from a functioning original immobilizer system. This allows the engine control unit to permit the engine to start.
- Data adjustment and programming: The module requires programming with data read from the memory (EEPROM or Flash) of the original ECU. This process ensures that the simulated code is unique and matches the specific ECU.
- Compatibility: Works with various ECUs from manufacturers such as Denso and Bosch, used in vehicles with both gasoline (VVT-i) and diesel engines (D-4D).
Supported vehicle brands and applications:
The Julie TOYOTA Emulator is designed to replace the immobilizer signal in various Toyota vehicles. This makes it possible for engine control units (ECUs) to function correctly when the original immobilizer or transponder key is not available.
The overview below shows the supported ECU types, including the corresponding vehicle models and engine variants on which these systems are applied.
